About me

Welcome to my website! I’m Yamka and I come from Amoy, China. Now I have my bridging course at NIE in Singapore. I like swimming, shopping and eating delicious food!!! My plan is to be an engineer and lead a simple happy life~

Favorite place in Singapore: Bugis Junction

Favorite living musician: Yo-Yo Ma

Favorite local food: Yam rice & Yong Tou Fu

Favorite books: the Red Chamber Dream, 100 Years’ Solitude, Pride and Prejudice.

What I’ve learned at NIE

During my bridging course, I have gained quite a lot of language and communication skills, such as how to give an informative presentation, how to take down notes in lectures and how to write an academic essay. Besides these, I have also learned some basic computer skills in my DLS course, that is, how to conduct an effective online research, how to build my own website and so on. In addition, my experience here makes me more extroverted and open-minded! I really enjoy my study at NIE~
